Technology Sales Consultant

SalesBasix, an e-learning company providing business development training to small and medium-size businesses, is seeking a Technology Sales Consultant to support its sales program.

Position Overview

E-learning (or online training) is a rapidly growing multi-billion dollar market. With the rising costs associated with travel, companies are searching for more cost effective delivery mechanisms to train their distributed workforce. Additionally, the "re-tooling" that needs to occur with the changing workforce leaves limited options for the training requirements of this group. Online training is the solution of choice for both of these markets.

By e-learning (or online training), it is important to understand that we mean professionally produced, self-paced online classes - not “webinars” or “video blogs.” (E-learning is a term that is often used out of proper context.) Professionally produced e-learning modules cost upwards of $60-70,000.00 per finished production hour.

For the last 10+ years, professionally produced online training has only been made available to the Fortune 500 companies - those that could afford the steep production costs of developing quality-training programs delivered over the internet. This has left the small and mid-size business market almost completely untapped.

SalesBasix was created to serve this market.

SalesBasix is suitable for both the B2C (business to consumer) market and the B2B (business-to-business) market, but we’re looking for Technology Sales Consultants to sell SalesBasix e-learning modules to the B2B (business-to-business) market exclusively!

Roles and Responsibilities

As a SalesBasix Technology Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Following up with corporate web leads produced via advertising, pay-per-click (PPC), search engine optimization (SEO) and other marketing
  • Cultivating your own prospects via social media and other more traditional prospecting methods.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Two or more years of successful B2B outside sales experience
  • Written/spoken communication and presentation skills are critical.
